Cookie Smart is the platform developed by the firm to make websites and online shops cookie-compliant under the GDPR and the guidelines of the Italian Data Protection Authority (Garante), among the strictest in Europe. It is installed with the WordPress plugin, the PrestaShop module or a single line of code in the layout of a Laravel, PHP or any other website, and managed from an online dashboard. Delivered via CDN
The banner script is delivered through a CDN: it reaches visitors from the nearest node and is served from cache, so the banner appears immediately without slowing down the website or its servers. All it takes is one line of code in the layout, or the plugin or module.
Prior blocking of trackers
Facebook Pixel, LinkedIn, TikTok, Hotjar, YouTube, Google Maps and other third-party services stay blocked until the visitor gives consent. Blocking works on three levels: server side, on scripts created via JavaScript and on scripts already in the page.
Google Consent Mode v2
Native integration with Consent Mode v2 for Google Analytics, Google Ads and Tag Manager: visitors' choices are passed on to Google services as required for campaigns in the European Economic Area.
Consent register
Every choice is recorded with a truncated IP address, date and preferences, together with a copy of what the banner showed at that moment. The register can be exported to CSV, ready to be shown in case of an inspection.
Cookie scanning
An automatic scan compares cookies before and after consent and flags anything that runs without authorisation, so a script added without going through the banner is spotted immediately.
